Another Tuesday marks the night for a new Deal or No Deal Island episode and another Wednesday marks the day for a Watchers Delight recap of Deal or No Deal Island. Episode 3 introduces the chaotic Dr. Will, new bombshells dropped, an elimination, and a new target. WD will cover all things DONDI episode 3 and what to expect coming forward.

Episode 3 starts at breakfast, where Dr. Will quickly makes his presence known to the audience and the players alongside him. Calling out Parvati as being a Survivor legend. This move for Dr. Will is great, as he is publicly a legend to the group. Making it known Parvati is also a legend helps to decrease his target. For Parvati, this could lead to more problems as she has multiple secret pairs with people knowing her Survivor past. We don’t see any of it in this episode, which makes me think Parvati will have a bit of a safety run. For Dave, the other reality show veteran, this should all pass him by as Dr. Will doesn’t seem to know who Dave is.
After the breakfast bomb that Dr. Will planted, Parvati had an idea to bring herself back to everyone through yoga. During this we hear CK and Seychell both say they want to go after Parvati and will be targeting her if they can, leading us into the challenge.
Head of Command Challenge
I really enjoyed this challenge. However, the sand castle part seemed null once the contestants began to choose where to put their briefcase and pick teams. Where we didn’t see anymore of the ongoing challenge and just were able to watch the team picking part. The picking part was pretty much as expected, except when Alexis doesn’t choose to be on a team with Dr. Will. This gives a big indication that, for Alexis, choosing to not be on a team with Dr. Will made more people happy and that the opposite would have pissed some people off. I also like to think of a world where Alexis stayed with Dr. Will and ends up getting split with him instead of Rock and Alexis being split. Instead, once Rock was split with Alexis, the only four to be safe from elimination were Parvati, Phillip, CK, and MG.
The Rock
Rock, after being up for elimination last episode and coming in dead last in the challenge, is the obvious player to go against the banker. To be fair this seed was planted by CK when she came over to Parvati and Phillip while they were using the “split” briefcase. Then, right when everyone gets back from the challenge, CK is going around telling everyone that Rock should play. Saying, “He wants to be in control of his own fate.” While she isn’t wrong as we do get a confession from Rock where he says he’s ready to play the banker, I don’t think he was going to be an elimination if someone else beat the banker. With people like Dr. Will and Dave, alongside competitors like Alexis and Storm. If Parvati and Phillip had a chance to make someone else play the banker, Rock had a good chance of staying. However, Rock does get some time as Mr. Popular before he goes to play the banker. As everyone is coming up to him and giving their pitch on why he should keep them, we get multiple confessionals and scenes where Rock didn’t know who he would take out.
The Banker
The person who I would have wanted to have seen Rock take out was Dr. Will because it would give him better standing with everyone, or Seychelle to cut down from the support CK has, who directly made Rock on the bottom. It was all for not as Rock had a pretty up and down run against the banker with more down than up. We did get a great line from Storm when Rock said he was bad. Storm responds,”You’re not bad, just no more family members. Try neighbors or something.” In regards to Rocks first round of briefcase picks.
After the offer was selected Rock was eliminated as he took a bad deal. Rock felt in his gut that he had the 1.3 million dollar briefcase, but took the offer. He seemed more interested in making sure the group got money for the pot. I just hated watching this because all of the “family related” briefcases were high numbers and I was believing he had picked a good briefcase because of that, and so did Rock. The group talked him into the logical decision, which took him out of the game.
I wish Rock had more time in the game and a better edit as Rocks goes against the banker really showed us who he is and how funny, odd, and kind he is.
